Burnham-On-Sea firefighters were called out late on Wednesday night (January 4th) to tackle a chimney fire at a town centre home.
A fire appliance was sent to Adam Street at 11.18pm where the residents reported the chimney was alight.
“The crew used a hose reel jet and chimney gear to extinguish the fire, which had been caused by the occupants burning a whole Christmas tree,” a fire service spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
