Mild temperatures and a wet winter have led to record numbers of bluebells on Brean Down.

Walkers and photographers have been taking advantage of the good weather to enjoy the wild flowers – voted Britain’s most popular wild flower in a nationwide poll – at their very best.
“It’s a fantastic display this year – one of the best ever,” National Trust warden Paul Marsh told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
The nothern side of the Down is slightly more sheltered than the south and there is a deeper soil cover there too, making perfect conditions for the flowers.
