Mark village hosts International Vehicle Festival this weekend

-

Hundreds of vehicles will be on display in the village of Mark, near Burnham-On-Sea, this weekend when the second International Vehicle Festival is held.

Members of Mark village’s Community Association are busily putting final arrangements in place for the festival, which will be held on Sunday 17th August at the grounds of Mark Village Hall.

The show opens at 11am and entry will cost £2 per adult with children admitted for free and all funds going towards the village hall refurbishment programme.

“The event follows on from the inaugural show held in 2006, which was a tremendous success, and attracted in the region 2,000 visitors,” Neil Corkish, Chairman of Mark Community Association, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“This year’s show will feature in excess of 200 display vehicles ranging from classic, vintage, military and agricultural cars, motorbikes and lorries to today’s latest showroom family cars.”

In addition, a selection of food and drink will be available throughout the day, including a licensed bar. In the main hall area there will be a stallholders green fair, with a range of other stalls featured in the arena field, including children’s face painting and a play area.
