Residents in the Burnham-On-Sea area will be able to put local policing questions to Chief Constable Andy Marsh when he takes part in a live video with Police and Crime Commissioner Sue Mountstevens on January 24th.
She is asking residents to submit questions ahead of the Facebook live video session with the Chief Constable on Tuesday, January 24th at 5pm.
The topic of discussion throughout the 30-minute live video will be based around a number of themes including fraud, body worn video cameras, tasers and rural crime and will end by taking a selection of other questions that have been submitted.
PCC Sue Mountstevens said: “We’ve had some really interesting questions submitted from residents ranging from fraud to police morale. I’d like to thank everyone for taking the opportunity to put their local policing questions to the Chief Constable. I want to represent your views in local policing and I can only do that if you tell me what matters most to you.”
“We are still trialling this format and scheduling the live videos at difference times of the day to see what works best for local people. The live video is not replacing face-to-face meetings. I’m still keen to meet local people and to hold events where residents can ask questions of the police. My next public forum is in Yeovil on February 2nd.”
