The driver of a van has been arrested after allegedly failing to stop at the scene of an accident involving a cyclist which blocked the A38 between Highbridge and Bridgwater on Sunday (October 30th).
Burnham police shut the busy route through Pawlett, as pictured, following the accident in which a cyclist was knocked off his bike by the vehicle and suffered head and neck injuries.
“The driver of a van has been arrested for allegedly failing to stop at the scene,” a police spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
