Missing lady found ‘safe and well’ after search in Burnham-On-Sea area

-

Police say a missing woman who sparked a big search in the Burnham-On-Sea area on Saturday (January 21st) was found safe and well.

Tina Wilford, 70, left her home in Weston at approximately 1.30pm on Friday (January 20th) and had not been seen for over 24 hours.

Searches were undertaken in Burnham-On-Sea, Brean and Berrow, as well as Weston, for the missing lady and her green Vauxhall Astra.

A spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com this evening: “Tina has been found safe – we’d like to thank the media and public who helped by sharing our appeal.”

Detective Inspector Angela Burtonwood had said earlier that her disappearance was out of character and that Police were concerned for her welfare.
