Burnham-On-Sea air cadets have made a memorable trip to RAF Brize Norton.
The cadets from 290 Squadron Royal Air Force Air Cadets from Weston-super-Mare, Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge made the visit to the RAF’s largest station.
290 Squadrons’ officer commanding, Flt Lt Chris Garrett RAF VR(T) told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The day comprised of several section visits from the survival section, Voyager air to air refuelling hub, a careers talk and ended with a hands-on experience on a hercules aircraft.”
“The cadets had the opportunity to speak to serving members of the RAF about their roles and how they arrived to where they are today.”
“The cadets and staff really enjoyed the day, especially the tour around the C130-J hercules. It was great being able to see and understand the ins and outs of a working day at RAF Brize Norton.”
