Kelvin Tatum is set to return to Highbridge’s Oaktree Arena alongside Sky TV colleague Nigel Pearson this month.
The Sky Sports duo will be back for a third successive year on Tuesday February 7th with their stage tour where they’ll be discussing all aspects of the sport just a month before the new season.
Tatum and Pearson have formed a successful TV partnership, both for domestic coverage and the World Championship, which sees them travelling throughout Europe in the summer.
Tatum says they will be back by popular demand following his visit for the end of season awards night shortly after the Cases Rebels secured the Premier League title.
“I had a smashing night there as guest host of their end of season presentation night,” said Tatum. “I was told Nigel and I simply had to go back and it means Somerset becomes the only venue where we have been in all three years of the tour.”
“We always enjoy plenty of banter with the Somerset crowd and the Hancock family are very welcoming. We’re pleased to be going back.”
Pearson, meanwhile, is delighted to see the club promoted to the rebranded SGB Premiership – and that means the Sky Sports cameras will be back at the Oaktree.
“We’ve done meetings at Somerset before and I don’t think we’ve ever had a bad one,” he said. “The stadium always looks good and the shape of the track means great racing every time.”
“Like Kelvin, I’m looking forward to our night there as part of the tour, we weren’t sure about going back for a third year but when Kelvin told me about the welcome he had there last month then we just decided to go for it. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone again.”
Tickets are £8 in advance from sportstalkevents.co.uk/bookingoffice or £10 on the door if any places remain. Alternatively they are available from the Oaktree clubhouse.
