Fundraising music night in memory of Highbridge mother of three

-

Family and friends of a Highbridge mother of three who lost her battle with cancer last December are to hold a fundraising music night in her memory.

Suzie Harris, 29, tragically lost her brave battle with Lymphoma last December, as reported here.

Suzie, a mother of three boys, held a ‘Our Big Birthday’ event with fellow sufferer Joanna Burridge-Clayton last October to celebrate their transplant re-birthdays and to raise funds for the charities that had helped them on their journeys.

These included Anthony Nolan who helped find the donors who gave the women a second chance at life.

Sadly, Suzie passed away in December, but was grateful for the extra time the transplant gave her with her family and friends.

Her family and friends continue to raise funds and promote the work of Anthony Nolan in her memory.

With this in mind, her friends Lucy Maud and Jeremy Phillips are holding a music night called ‘Dive to Save Lives’ in Bristol on Friday 13th June.

Starting at 7pm, there will be music from Ben Searle on ukulele, Lucy and her friend Sasha singing with guitars and Burnham’s very own Dusica in action.

Headlining the event will be Kastrow, a popular Burnham rock band. It will take place at the Golden Guinea on Guinea Street, Bristol and tickets are just £5 with a buffet.

There will also be a raffle and a chance to find out more about the work of Anthony Nolan as well as buy hand-crafted gifts.

Later in the year Lucy and Jeremy will be doing a sky-dive to raise more funds and awareness for Anthony Nolan, hence the name.
