A busy road through Highbridge came to a halt this afternoon (Wednesday) following a two vehicle collision.
Police and two ambulance crews were called to Church Street at 2.33pm after the accident, as pictured, which involved a Citroen and a Vauxhall.
Police spokesman Martin Dunscombe told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The road was partially blocked while the emergency services were on scene.”
“A woman in her 70s suffered what were understood to be minor injuries and was treated by ambulance crews.”
The road conditions were slippery at the time following heavy rain, although it was not clear whether this was a cause.
