Burnham-On-Sea fire crews helped to tackle a big blaze at a commercial garage in Bridgwater this morning (Thursday).
Crews were called to the Showground Road in Bridgwater at 5.45am after the building burst into flames and plumes of black smoke were sent across the nearby M5 motorway.
Eight fire crews from Burnham-On-Sea, Yeovil, Bridgwater and Street were at the scene, fighting the fire with hydraulic platforms, water carriers, breathing apparatus and hose reel jets.
“Crews have confirmed this was a large car workshop warehouse and it was well alight, with gas cylinders involved,” spokesman Paul Slavin told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
