Burnham-On-Sea firefighters have been tackling this huge barn blaze in West Huntspill today (Saturday).
Crews from Burnham-On-Sea and Bridgwater were initially sent to Sloway Lane, West Huntspill just after 3pm, as pictured here.
“A barn measuring 30 metres x 20 metres containing over 150 big bales of straw was well alight,” a spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com at the scene.
“We got to work with a main jet and a compressed air foam jet to prevent the fire spreading and then held a watching brief to allow the straw to safely burn.”
A telehandler was also used to remove some bales from within the barn while crews battled the fire.
Police shut Sloway Lane past the scene while crews tackled the incident. Fire crews are investigating the cause of the blaze.
