12-hour music marathon at Highbridge church to raise charity funds

-

A 12-hour non-stop music marathon is to be held in Highbridge on Saturday (June 14th) to raise money for some of the world’s poorest people overseas.

The event at St John’s Church will see a day of continuous musical entertainment form local talent being held from 9am to 9pm.

It will be held in aid of ToiletTwinning.org which helps bring clean water and safe sanitation to the world’s poorest people by linking your loo with a latrine in Africa or Asia.

“We want to raise funds around the world – £60 buys a single latrine while £240 buys a whole toilet block,” said a spokesman.

“If you are a performer, if you play an instrument or if you sing or dance you can take part in this event by contacting us at sj_bale@icloud.com or 07976 936325.”
