Police appeal for help in tracing stolen taxi in Highbridge

Police in Highbridge are appealing for the public’s help in tracing a taxi that has been stolen from the town.

Some time between 6.30am on Monday (September 29th) and 1.45pm the following day, Tuesday, the taxi was stolen from Morland Road in Highbridge.

“The black coloured Peugeot Xpert cab had white stripes, taxi markings and AAA cars on the side,” a police spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“It also carried Sedgemoor District Council Hackney Carriage plates front and back as well as disabled access ramps and was fitted with a taxi meter.”

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the theft or has any information as to the current whereabouts of the car. Anyone who can help is asked to contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
