Burnham-On-Sea theatre to welcome acclaimed singer-songwriter

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s Princess Theatre will host a concert by an acclaimed singer-songwriter on Thursday 23rd February.

Philippa Hanna will be performing at the theatre in Burnham’s Princess Street for the latest stop on her nationwide ‘Speed Of Light Acoustic Tour’.

She says her new album, ‘Speed Of Light’, tackles the challenges of life head-on, offering listeners a message of “hope in the face of adversity.”

As one of the most sought-after acoustic performers in the UK, she has opened tours for acts including Lionel Richie, Anastacia, Leona Lewis and Wet Wet Wet.

In 2015, Philippa also supported Britain’s Got Talent 2014 winners Collabro with their 31-date UK tour.

And in 2016, she supported the European leg of Little Mix’s first worldwide tour, The Get Weird Tour, which took her to 10 countries.

Philippa has also appeared twice on the BBC1 programme Songs of Praise: in 2011 performing “Father” and in 2013 performing “Lighthouse”.

Since her 2007 debut, Philippa has released several studio albums, an EP and a live DVD, and published two autobiographical books.

Tickets for her Burnham-On-Sea show are on sale now, priced standard £10, and concessions £8.00 with group rates available. Call 01278 784464.
