Local art exhibition set to begin at Burnham-On-Sea gallery

-

A three week exhibition of artwork featuring scenes of Burnham-On-Sea, Berrow and Brean starts on Monday (October 6th) at a gallery in the town.

Burnham-On-Sea.com was given a sneak preview of the display, which will be held at Sea Breeze in Victoria Street throughout this month.

Malcom Spratt (pictured right) will be displaying a collection of acrylics around the unique theme ‘tigers and lighthouses’ while Graham McPherson (pictured below) will be displaying photography and fine art with the theme ‘Burnham, Berrow and Brean’.

Malcolm told Burnham-On-Sea.com why Burnham’s beach lighthouse plays such a key role in his artwork: “The lighthouse is such a unique, iconic symbol of Burnham that people quickly recognise as being linked to the town.”

“It’s a wonderful structure to paint and I have several images at sunset and during daylight on display at this exhibition.”

The exhibition runs from October 6th-25th and is open to the public on weekdays from 10am-5.30pm (Wednesdays 10-2.30pm) and on Saturdays from 10am-3pm. Entry is free.
