The world-famous Red Arrows took to the skies over Brean Down on Saturday (June 21st) during the first day of the annual Weston Air Day.

The planes roared through the clear blue skies, watched by record crowds of onlookers in hot sunshine on Brean Down.

Thousands of people also flocked to Weston seafront to see the 23-minute Red Arrows display as they soared over Brean, Berrow, Weston and Brent Knoll.

The event, organised by North Somerset Council, delighted the spectators, who also saw displays of a Sea King helicopter, the RAF Falcons Parachute Team, a Battle of Britain Memorial Flight featuring The Dakota and a Sally B B17 Flying fortress.

The show continued on Sunday (June 22nd) with the displays starting at 11.30am and running until 4.57pm when the show event ends with a Vulcan fly-past – full details and times here.
