A seagull trapped in netting on the roof of a Burnham-On-Sea town centre property was rescued by firefighters on Monday (February 20th).
One Burnham-On-Sea fire crew was called out to the High Street to bring down the bird using an extension ladder, as pictured here.
The incident occurred above the £1 shop on the corner of Pier Street.
The junction was partially closed to traffic to allow the crew to safely carry out the high-rise rescue.
The bird was handed over to carers from the RSPCA and was taken away for treatment.
