Burnham-On-Sea’s Mayor has this week officially thanked several residents for their help during last month’s visit of the Tour of Brtitain cycle race to the town.

Mayor Peter Burridge-Clayton handed small gifts to Andrew Brewer and John Smith, as pictured here, in recognition of their display of historical bikes on the bike race day.

Alex Turco, Chairman of Burnham’s Chamber of Trade, was also thanked by the Mayor for his hard work in helping to ensure the day was a succesful one.

“Several residents worked really hard to make the day a success, and I wanted to give them a small token of the my – and the town council’s – appreciation,” the Mayor told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
