Burnham-On-Sea fire crews called to early morning accident at Brean

Fire crews from Burnham-On-Sea were called out at 12.26am on Sunday morning (October 12th) to reports of a car fire following an accident near Brean.

The collision occurred in Accommodation Road between Weston and Brean outside Hope Farm Cottages.

“On arrival, the car was found to be well alight and crews used Compressed Air Foam to extinguish the blaze,” a fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

Police and ambulance were also in attendance. There was 75 per cent damage to the car, a Ford Mondeo Ghia. The spokesman added that there is no reason to believe that the cause was deliberate.
