A former contestant from BBC One’s Dragon’s Den TV series visited a garden centre near Burnham-On-Sea on Sunday (October 12th) to hold a series of food tasting sessions.
Michael North pitched his business idea for an Olive Oil Club to the judges of the hit TV show in August – and attended Sanders Garden World in Brent Knoll.
Peter Burks, General Manager at Sanders Garden World, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We hosted our Apple, Cider and Forgotten Fruits Weekend to celebrate Somerset and British apples, as well as to introduce visitors to some often forgotten fruits, for example the olive.”
“Michael, an international judge and taster of fresh, seasonal olive oil and balsamic vinegar from Frome, was in-store on Sunday to speak to customers about his work and offer people the chance to take part in tutored tastings.”
Michael told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I have had a lot of interest today here in Brent Knoll from people wanting to taste the difference of fresh olive oil and also interested in talking to me about the Dragon’s Den TV show.”
