Dozens of pensioners from across the Burnham-On-Sea area were treated to a full Christmas meal with all the trimmings by the town’s Rotary Club on Wednesday evening (December 7th).
Over 60 people from day centres in the Burnham area enjoyed an evening of festive food during the annual Rotary Club Seniors Christmas Party in Highbridge’s St John Hall in Bank Street.
“We were delighted to provide free Christmas meals to 63 people from Burnham Active Living Group, Berrow Day Centre, West Huntspill Day Centre, Mark Day Centre and East Brent Active Living Group. Everyone had a superb evening,” a spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com. “The Rotary Inner Wheel members did a super job in preparing the meals and it all helped to spread a little extra Christmas cheer.”
