Burnham-On-Sea man joined 10,000 strong audience at X-Factor final

A Burnham-On-Sea resident was among the 10,000 strong audience at Sunday’s final of ITV1’s X-Factor.

Stephen Cleavely, 21, travelled to Wembley Arena to watch the drama unfold as Little Mix beat fellow finalist Marcus Collins to take home the crown.

Stephen told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The X-Factor was an amazing experience, especially live. It’s very different from how you see it on screen.”

“The atmosphere in the building was extraordinary. The 10,000 strong crowd fell silent then became hysterical when Little Mix were announced the winners!”

“A highlight of the trip for me was seeing Coldplay performing live. The audience had to wear multi-coloured wristbands on each arm.”

“When they started to sing, the bands lit up remotely and the view over the crowd was breathtaking.”

Stephen spotted several famous faces in the crowd, including comedian Alan Carr who was sitting near him in the audience.

He added: “I saw a few celebrities along the way including Professor Brian Cox.”

“He’s famous for his non-fictional programmes and being the next upcoming David Attenborough.”
