Dozens of residents living in Burnham-On-Sea’s Grove, Marlborough Court and Gardenhurst areas celebrated the start of 2012 with a community party.
Over 100 residents gathered together on New Year’s Eve for the event at Burnham’s Avenue Tennis Club, as pictured here.
One of the organisers, Sarah Milner Simonds, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It was a great night. We saw in the New Year with a glitz and glamour themed community party.”
“Several of the Tennis Club members attending the event said that it was the best they had ever seen the clubhouse look!”
This was the fourth community event that the residents have organised.
They are now planning a special Jubilee street party and by a trip to see fellow resident Sarah Milner Simonds carry the torch in the Olympic Torch Relay.
