The producers of a new BBC1 TV programme are seeking people in the Burnham-On-Sea area interested in taking part in the show.
The new show ‘Second Chance Salon’ is set in a hair salon where people can come in and meet a team of top stylists for a full makeover.
“We’re looking to speak with people who have an important event coming up in their lives, something which is significant to them,” said Cleo Dixey from producers Electric Ray.
“For example it could be someone getting married after overcoming a health issue, being reunited with a long lost relative, a person preparing for a crucial job interview or a single dad going on a first date – anything that is of huge personal significance to them.”
“We want to help people feel confident and ready to take their big moment by inviting them into the salon where they will meet other people going through similar experiences and receive a full makeover.”
“Our aim is for each person to leave the salon feeling like the best version of themselves. We want to show how a positive transformation in someone’s outward appearance can have an incredible impact on their emotional wellbeing.”
“As each person undergoes physical transformation before our eyes – through conversations with the stylists – we’ll learn more about their life story and why they are in need of a helping hand.”
