Donkeys, ponies, rabbits, goats, calfs, chickens and pigs are among the animals at the farm, which all have been rescued and are now being cared for by the team there.

“There has always been a farm here at Unity Farm and, as we are celebrating or 70th year this year, we decided to turn the stable blocks into a fun, family farmyard attraction,” manager Jonny Russell told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“We’ve spent £35,000 modernising on upgrading the building and making it perfect for families to come and see the animals, take part in feeding, and learn about the aninals with educational displays.”

“One part of the farm includes our ‘hatchery’ area which focuses on battery hens, with a display of incubators and chicks.”

The farm is initially open to Unity Farm guests and, by arranegement, local groups and schools.
