A Highbridge pensioner who died a week after being injured in a car crash has been named.
John Henry Hackett, from Highbridge, died following surgery at the Great Western Hospital last week, a week after his car hit a wall outside a house in a Wiltshire village.
On December 30, the 80-year-old was driving through Lower Seagry, near Chippenham, at the time.
Wiltshire Police said that the man’s Ford Fiesta left the road and he died after undergoing surgery at a hospital in Swindon.
