Highbridge man wins appeal over jail term for £27,000 vouchers theft

-

A Highbridge man who stole £27,000 of shopping vouchers has had his jail sentence cut from 20 months to 12 months at the Court of Appeal in London (pictured).

Jamie Neil Short, from Main Road in Highbridge, was jailed at Taunton Crown Court last October.

He pleaded guilty to theft and acquiring and converting criminal property.

However, appeal judges have cut the sentence of Short, 34, who worked at the Taunton branch of Debenhams, after considering his appeal.
