Highbridge town centre will play host to an afternoon of live outdoor music concert today (Sunday, August 10th).
Folk On The Green will be held in a marquee next to Highbridge Community Hall in Market Street from 12.30pm until 5pm.
Organisers said this morning that the event will go ahead despite the threat of bad weather.
Local groups Lost In The Grass and Lazy Horse & Friends will be joined at the event by Jo Casta and local blues specialists Nick and Chris Elswood.
The free event, organised by Burnham and Highbridge Cultural Arts and Development Society (CADS), includes free parking in the town’s Bank Street car park next to the green.
There will be a bar serving real ale, cider and soft drinks at special low prices, and everyone attending will be given a free raffle ticket with a chance to win a prize.
