A family fishing fun day is set to be held today (Saturday, August 16th) at Highbridge’s Apex Wildlife Park.
The free event is being held from 10am-5pm and provide free taster sessions with the help of qualified angling coaches plus other activities for non-anglers and families.
The event is being supported by The Angling Trust, Get Hooked On Fishing, Environment Agency, Age UK, Somerset Active Sports Partnership, South West Fishing for Life, Highbridge and Burnham Angling Club and Bitterwell Lakes.
There will also be sea, game and coarse angling games, face painters and much more through the day.
A spokesman said: “If you fancy a day out with the family with lots of different family fun activities, or want to introduce a member of your family to the pleasures of fishing this fun day is for you.”
