Burnham-On-Sea got a covering of snow on Saturday (February 4th) when a band of winter weather swept through the area.
Snow fell throughout the late morning and afternoon, giving a covering across the town, including on the seafront and beach, as pictured here.
While key roads in Burnham and Highbridge were gritted, motorists were advised to take extra care on minor routes.
All Saturday’s football fixtures in Burnham were called off due to the weather, and Burnham RNLI postponed its scheduled fundraising car wash, due to take place on Saturday morning, until next Saturday due to the icy weather.
Milder conditions quickly followed during in the evening, making the snow short-lived. Much of the snow and slush had melted by midnight.
