A fresh warning about checking tide times has been issued to motorists who use local beaches this week after this driver had a shock on Sunday morning (April 30th).
The car was parked on Brean beach and the driver walked off, without realising the incoming tide would reach it.
The beach warden said: “Fortunately, there was no damage done and the car was able to be driven away this time, although the owner had quite a shock.”
“It serves as a reminder to always check the tide times if you are driving onto our local beaches.”
