Fundraising craft fair underway in Brent Knoll this weekend

-

Sanders Garden World in Brent Knoll is holding a fundraising craft fair over this weekend.

The event, being held on Saturday (February 11th) and Sunday (February 12th), is open each day from 10am-4pm and will be raising money for the Freewheelers Emergency Voluntary Service.

Visitors will be able to watch lace making and woodturning demonstrations (pictured) and see a wide range of gifts and merchandise.

Peter Burks, General Manager of the centre, said: “The fair is a good opportunity for people looking for unique gift ideas for someone special this Valentine’s Day. There will be a variety of stalls selling a range of hand-crafted items including glassware, soaps and sculptures.”

Freewheelers EVS is a registered charity that transports items on especially adapted motorcycles from hospital to hospital in Somerset and beyond.

Allan Roberts, one of the charity’s volunteers who is organising the event, added: “We held a craft fair at the garden centre in 2011 and raised £700. We hope lots of people will come and help us to raise even more this time.”
