Sixty pupils from Highbridge’s Lucy Gunter Dance and Theatre Centre are celebrating a 100% pass rate in their latest set of exams.
The group, pictured, have recently taken examinations in classical ballet, modern dance and tap dance and all passed with high marks – some receiving 98% grades.
Several of the students received distinctions from London’s Royal Academy of Dance after taking professional ballet exams at intermediate level.
Principal Lucy Gunter told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I am very proud of all of the students.”
“They worked particularly hard, gaining excellent results and maintaining the high standard we strive to achieve.”
“The dance centre ran lots of events last year and successfully accomplished a large production including all students at the Brewhouse Theatre in Taunton, won a first place at the Burnham Carnival and achieved great results at the North Devon festival as well as two successful exam sessions.”
Members of the Lucy Gunter Dance Centre will be performing next at the 65th Highbridge Festival Of The Arts, which is being held at Burnham’s Princess Theatre from February 29th.
