Give your garden a splash of patriotic colour for Queen’s Jubilee!

-

Gardeners in the Burnham-On-Sea area will be able to pick up advice on how to plant flower beds and containers with British-grown bedding and plants in readiness for this Spring’s Jubilee celebrations at a special event next month.

Sanders Garden World in Brent Knoll is holding the event on March 3rd and 4th to showcase young plants grown in Britain and to offer related planting tips.

Peter Burks, General Manager, said: “There has been a recent resurgence of interest in bedding and plug plants, which were exceptionally popular for the Queen’s Silver Jubilee in the 1970s. People are looking to create traditional planting schemes using patriotic colours to mark the Diamond Jubilee weekend from June 2nd until June 5th.”

“Those who attend our free weekend will be able to receive advice on what bedding and plug plants to grow and how they can bring colour to their gardens in time for the Jubilee celebrations.”

“Staff will be on hand to give visitors complimentary ideas on spring gardening, as well as giving advice on planting and colour schemes for all bedding plants.”

The event will take place during normal garden centre opening hours.
