Burnham-On-Sea Beavers aim for Global Challenge Badges

-

Burnham-On-Sea Beavers have been taking part in drumming and dragon making over the past week as they move closer to earning their Global Challenge Badges.

Burnham-based drumming instructor Angela Jones visited the group on Friday evening (February 24th) to show the youngsters how drums are used in some overseas countries, as pictured.

“The Beavers had a great time and are really enjoying the activities we have been organising as part of the Global Challenge Badge,” leader Mandy Williams told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“Over the last few weeks, they have also celebrated Chinese New Year, been finding out about foreign cultures and they have even been making dragons!”

The group – based at the BASC Ground – is keen to welcome newcomers. Weekly meetings are held for children aged 6-8 on Thursdays and Fridays. More details are available here.
