Firefighters from Burnham-On-Sea tackled a blaze in the centre of Highbridge on Friday evening (March 2nd).
Fire crews were called to the Walrow shortly before 7.30pm after a bonfire accidentally spread and set alight a stretch of fencing, sending plumes of black smoke into the sky above the town.
“The fence and shed were destroyed by the fire, which we brought under control with hose reel jets,” a fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
He added that the cause was accidental.
