Firefighters were called to tackle a car blaze in Burnham-On-Sea this afternoon (Thursday, March 22nd).
One fire engine from Burnham was sent to the street outside Boots at 3.14pm where a car was alight.
“One fire appliance from Burnham attended a car on fire, caused by an electrical fault,” confirmed fire spokesman Paul Slaven.
“Crews confirmed the fire had been put out prior to their arrival by the car’s owners using extinguishers. The vehicle sustained moderate damage by the fire.”
