Burnham-On-Sea band Daft Folk play at popular festival for charity

-

Burnham-On-Sea band Daft Folk played at the Happy Valley Festival in Oxford over the weekend, helping to raise money for a good cause.

The popular festival was held in aid of Motor Neurone Disease and as part of AAA (All about Alie).

Martin, the drummer of Daft Folk, lost a cousin last year from the disease and so the cause is close to the band’s hearts.

“All About Alie was set up in February 2016 by Alie Tilley, an events organiser,
after being diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease,” he says.

“Alie’s mission was to do two things; raise awareness of MND and what people can do to help and to raise money to fund Professor Talbot’s Stem Cell at Research John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.”

Currently AAA have raised over £100,000 but would like to raise more to help find a cure for this disease. Donations can be made via www.aaa.uk.com.
