Police in Burnham-On-Sea are investigating a new incident involving political graffiti in the town centre.
The acronym ‘BNP’ was scrawled over a wall outside a restaurant in Victoria Street on Friday night, as pictured here.
Police are investigating whether the incident is linked to a series of graffiti attacks in the town last autumn.
Burnham-On-Sea.com reported last October how a wave of graffiti, with slogans such as ‘Put the Great Back in Britain’, had been daubed across walls and garage doors in the town centre.
Residents in Oxford Street and Kingsway Road were also shocked to find the slogans painted over their walls.
Sgt Ian Kennett from Burnham-On-Sea police said at the time: “Behaviour like this is not tolerable. We want to stamp it out as soon as possible and would urge anyone with information to pass it on to us so we can follow it up.”
