A postponed car wash to raise money for Burnham-On-Sea RNLI will be held today (Saturday, April 7th).
Volunteers from the lifeboat station in Pier Street had to cancel the event earlier this year due to wintry weather in February.
Now, the re-scheduled event is taking place at the station today (Easter Saturday) between 10am and 2pm.
The event has been given a green-light by the water board, which was asked to consider whether the event should proceed during the drought conditions.
Money will be collected by donation, with proceeds going towards the station’s lifejackets. The existing lifejackets, although effective, are scheduled for eventual replacement.
