Fun-loving residents in Burnham-On-Sea celebrated Halloween with a whole host of spooky events on Friday.
Scores of young people got into the spirit of the day by ‘trick or treating’, attending parties, or decorating their homes to raise funds for charity.
Hundreds of people attended a popular Halloween Party at Burnham’s Lakeside Holiday Park while others were held at The Princess, Sanders Garden World in Brent Knoll and Burnham’s Railway Inn.
West Huntspill Railway held a well-supported evening of scary night time train rides, and Burnham’s Farmers Market in the High Street had a Halloween theme with pumpkins and squashes on sale.
Burnham charity fundraiser Keith Mitchell transformed the front garden of his home in Winchester Road into a ghostly Halloween grotto to raise hundreds of pounds for charity – his eighth year of running a display.
Nearby neighbour Morag Croker also held a spooky, colourful display at her home in Winchester Road which also drew a steady stream of visitors.
