Fire crews from Burnham-On-Sea and Bridgwater have rescued a horse trapped in a water-filled ditch in Brent Knoll on Tuesday evening (April 10th).
A fire engine from Burnham and a special rescue team from Bridgwater were sent to Bridal Path in Brent Knoll at 6.22pm amid reports that the animal was stuck.
A fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “On their arrival, crews confirmed that one horse was trapped with the owners and a local vet in attendance.”
“Crews rescued the horse using lines and strops. At 7.08pm, the horse had been pulled out of the ditch and duty of care was left with the owners.”
