An accident on the M5 motorway near Burnham-On-Sea caused rush-hour delays on Wednesday evening (April 11th).
Two fire engines from Burnham were sent to the incident between junction 22 at Burnham and junction 23 at Bridgwater North shortly after 4.15pm.
“Upon arrival, the fire crews found this was a single vehicle road traffic collision with two persons still within the vehicle but not physically trapped,” a fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“Crews set to work stabilising the vehicle and one male casualty was removed on a spinal board and left in the care of the ambulance service.”
Traffic built up back to junction 21 at Weston-super-Mare.
