Thousands of homes across Burnham-On-Sea were briefly without power on Sunday evening (May 10th) following a power cut.
Over 10,000 homes in the town suffered a short power cut at 5.43pm following a high voltage fault.
John Chivers, spokesman for Western Power Distribution, told Burnham-On-Sea.com on Sunday evening: “Customers in the centre of Burnham did experience a short inturruption to power supplies today at 5.43pm.”
“The interruption lasted only around ten seconds and affected 10,103 homes due a transient fault at a sub-station.”
He added that all the homes affected were quickly moved onto a back-up supply to avoid any major inconvenience.
