-

Three groups of Burnham-On-Sea singers are holding a summer concert this coming weekend to raise money for a good cause.

Siobhan Johnson Singers, Burnham Youth Choir and Burnham On Song will be performing their annual ‘Summer Nights’ concert on July 15th at St John’s Church in Highbridge.

All proceeds from the event will go to St Margaret’s Hospice, which helps people across Somerset, including the Burnham-On-Sea area.

Siobhan Johnson from the Siobhan Johnson Singers told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It will be a fun-packed entertaining evening of songs from the musicals and films.”

“Burnham Youth Choir will be performing their honours festival winning medley from ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’ and ‘Andrew Lloyd Webber Mash Up’, as well as songs from The School of Rock, Hairspray and The Adams Family.”

“Burnham on Song will be singing an entertaining ‘Mamma Mia’ medley, together with ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’, ‘Please Mr Postman’ and Gary Barlow’s ‘Rule the World.'”

“Hannah Murdoch and Ben Kempton will be singing a stunningly beautiful and moving ‘Les Miserables’ medley including ‘Little Fall of Rain’ and will be joined by eight-year-old singers Leah Norton and Max Humphrys as characters Cosette and Gavroche.”

“We are also delighted to welcome back special guest virtuoso pianist Richard Lennox who will be showing off his amazing talent on the piano. He will be accompanying Burnham On Song, as well as the super young talented local male vocalist Ben Kempton who will be delighting the audience with his superb voice.”

Tickets are available from The Crafty Tea Cup in Victoria Street or on the door at a price of £7 for adults and £4 for children.
