Burnham-On-Sea good causes benefit from Moose Lodge’s donations

Several Burnham-On-Sea groups have received financial boosts frrom the town’s Moose Lodge.

Members presented the money to three good causes, having raised the money during recent fundraising events including a ‘jazz and chips night in Burnham.

Organiser Terry Cornelius handed over the net profits of the event to local charities.

These included the Burnham Area Youth Centre, who received £250 towards their building fund.

The Friends of the Princess also received £100, while the remaining funds were presented to Moose Brothers and Ladies’ welfare funds. Also presented were the proceeds from Terry and Yvonne’s home produce sales and contents of collection boxes.

The Moose brothers and ladies have also brought filled shoe boxes for distribution by the Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child campaign.

A cheque for £100 has also been presented to Ladies Circle member Ann Kingston-White, who accepted on behalf of St Margaret’s Hospice towards the purchase of new equipment.
