Emergency crews from Burnham-On-Sea were called to a crash near Wedmore on Friday night (November 7th) in which three people were injured.
Two vehicles were involved in the accident in Mudgley Road, about three quarters of a mile from Wedmore, at 6.35pm.
Firefighters said the vehicles were on fire when they arrived on the scene and the road was blocked.
“Two vehicles were well alight with the highway completely blocked in both directions,” a spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“Fire crews got to work using two breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet. There were three casualties at scene suffering injuries and fire crews carried out casualty care until the ambulance and police were in attendance.”
