Burnham’s Princess Theatre to host Chris Jagger concert
Internationally-acclaimed musician and song writer Chris Jagger will be performing at Burnham-On-Sea’s Princess Theatre.
The brother of Mick Jagger, who is an artist in his own right, will be in town on Saturday 6th June for the first of a series of concerts over the summer.
It comes after the completion of work to upgrade the theatre’s stage electronic system, which caused the cancellation of a music event at the venue in May.
Tickets for the concert are priced £5 in advance or £8 on the door and are from GC Music and The Old Pier Tavern or by calling 01278 783161.
Doors will open at 7pm and the show is scheduled to start at 8.15pm.
It will feature the multi-talented Chris Jagger and his band (pictured), supported by Dorset’s top comedy band ‘Who’s Afeard’, who will be appearing at this year’s Glastonbury Festival, and ‘Steve, One Bloke, One Mandolin’.
Friends Of The Princess spokesman Mike Lang told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It will be a class line-up by anyone’s money.”
“We are holding the ticket prices deliberately low to encourage attendance. The emphasis is to showcase the Princess and its potential.”
“We also wish to thank Cllr Duncan McGinty and Halls Manageress Jan Wilson for arranging the expensive upgrade of the stage electrics, which is now complete, so we are able to use full professional PA facilities and give value for money.”
