Lucky Burnham youngster wins top prize in school bike contest

-

A lucky Burnham-On-Sea girl is celebrating this week after wining a new bike in a competition.

Millie Lewis from St Joseph’s Primary School won a luxury new mountain bike during a visit to Highbridge’s King Alfred School.

She won the contest after an open evening for parents, grandparents, carers and children. The children’s site maps were entered into a prize draw. Delighted Millie has this week been presented with her new bike.

King Alfred School achieved an ‘outstanding’ rating from Ofsted for its behaviour and safety, with inspectors saying “the school really does care” and the school is also “focused on high ambition and performance in its exams.”

For individual tours of the school if you missed the open evening, call the school’s Main Office on 01278 784881.
